Commencement

On the desire and instruction of his Guru Maharaja and GBC, His Holiness Prabodhanand Saraswati Swami Maharaja will commence initiations.

First Diksha Ceremony Details:
Date: 30-April-2025, Akshay Tritya
Location: ISKCON mandir, Sri Vrindavan dham

Second Diksha Ceremony Details:
Date: 12-May-2025, Sri Sri Radha Raman Dev Appearance
Location: ISKCON Temple Chandigarh

Third Diksha Ceremony Details:
Date: 17-May-2025, Sri Ramananda Raya Disappearance Day
Location: ISKCON Ludhiana

Details of further Diksha ceremonies will be provided subsequently.

GBC mandates that a devotee should be connected for atleast six months with the aspiring spiritual master. This ensures that the devotee has sufficient time to establish a meaningful relationship and progress on their spiritual path. Therefore, registration form opens only if the diksha ceremony, that is scheduled to take place, is after six months.

Information for Diksha eligibility and process are mentioned below.

Harinama Diksha

Eligiblity:
1. Chanting 16 rounds of Hare Krishna Mahamantra for atleast 12 months.
2. Following the 4 regulative principles (No meat eating, no gambling, no intoxication, and no illicit sex)
3. Read Srila Prabhupada Books.

Process:
1. Complete the ISKCON Disciples Course.
2. Complete GBC Harinam initiation philosophical exam.
3. Official recommendation letter from the temple president/official authority.
4. Registration for Diksha on website atleast 6 months in advance.

Brahmana Diksha

Eligiblity:
1. Candidate must be Harinam dikshit for at least 12 months.
2. Candidate must regularly attend temple program (including SB class).
3. Read Srila Prabhupada Books regularly. Complete these books atleast once:

                                1. Srimad Bhagavad Gita
                                2. Nectar of Instruction (Sri Updesamrita)
                                3. Nectar of Devotion (Bhakti Rasamrita Sindhu)
                                4. Sri Isopanisad
                                5. Srila Prabhupada Lilamrita
                            

Process:
1. Complete Bhakti Sastri Course.
2. Complete GBC Brahmanical initiation philosophical exam.
3. Official recommendation letter from the temple president/official authority.
4. Registration for Diksha on website atleast 6 months in advance.
